Here are last weekend’s Fantasy winners. Events included IM Texas, IM 70.3 Chattanooga, IM 70.3 Barcelona, ITU Yokohama, and Challenge Knoxville. We had over ten contests running last weekend, with entries ranging from FREE to $100. Over 150 entries were submitted for the weekend’s events. When contacted for comment, contest winners said:
“This win was a shock to everyone except me. I’m the Matt Hanson of Fantasy Triathlon.”
– triaaronbarber
“My main strategy was to use the combined info from the TRS pre race interviews (I was probably one of the few folks listening live… :-)) together with the info from trirating.com”
– mwgeerts
“First off I am honored to have been named the inaugural Ironman Texas fantasy triathlon champion (and also IM 70.3 Barcelona). There once was a time before fantasy triathlon where I was just your typical triathlon geek. However with this newly acquired wealth and prestige It appears as if those days are behind me now. I realize that with this honor comes great responsibility and I do not take this responsibility lightly. No longer the hunter, I now become the hunted. It is a role I look forward to embracing. Now if you’ll excuse me I have a prom queen to go F**K”

The featured showdown last week was the $100 head-to-head between yours truly Zach “@TriFantasy” Miller, and Thorsten “Tri-Data-Geek” Radde. Thorsten got crushed by DNFs, but quickly called for a rematch:
@TRIFantasy Ouch .. even with my “updated too late†lineup I wouldn’t have stood a chance. Are you up for a rematch?

Watch out for our upcoming head-to-head match at IM Brazil, with Frankfurt as a tiebreaker! And don’t forget to follow @ThRadde to up your Fantasy game.
In the IM Texas Free contest, TRS Triathlon’s King Of All Technology challenged Nick Klonne, winner of past fantasy contests, to a friendly non-monetary wager. Nick was also plagued by DNFs, but is a good sport and continues to hold up his end of the deal.
My favourite new twitter name this week is "Fantasy Tri's #1 Fan" from @NickRunsTooMuch . So glad to see the people enjoying themselves.

At this time we are still working on sorting out the transition points. Each Challenge race’s results are released a different way, and it is taking longer than expected to sort out the fantasy scores.
